The meeting took place in European Parliament in Brussels. The Congress itself takes place in Szczecin, Poland and it is a platform created to make international cooperation of maritime businesses, as well as a forum for discussion on the area of the maritime economy. The participants of the International Maritime Congress comprise not only entrepreneurs, politicians and scientists, but also the fishermen.
During that event I brought up the matter of the Multiannual Plan for the fisheries in the Baltic Sea and I have discussed the benefits coming from it. Moreover, I have explained the level of negotiations we are currently at with that plan, and what difficulties are encountered during the trialogue with Council and Commission.
