From Brussels Is Turkey getting any closer to the EU?
In its latest progress report on Turkey, the Commission expresses serious concerns about lack of progress towards meeting the political criteria for EU membership. The Council and the EP's Foreign Affairs Committee support the Commission's position. Turkish authorities on the other hand consider the report unbalanced, while a US study considers that Turkey is repositioning itself.

From Brussels No stress if passport is lost when travelling outside the EU
New rules adopted today by the European Parliament will make it easier and safer for those who lose their passports, have them stolen or damaged when travelling outside the EU to get temporary documents from any EU Member State’s consulate in a shorter period. These documents will be much safer and will offer protection against fraud and counterfeit.
