Mr. Jarosław Wałęsa is currently serving as a Member of the European Parliament. Prior to his election, Mr. Wałęsa served two terms in the Polish Parliament from 2005-2009 and on the European Union Commission and Foreign Affairs Commission. In 2012, Mr. Wałęsa authored and championed a written declaration in support of the Global Zero Action Plan, which was adopted by the European Parliament in January 2013 and sent to the European Commission, Member States and President Barack Obama. In addition to his work with Global Zero, Mr. Wałęsa also serves as Deputy Chair of Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament (PNND).
